As BacklashShows.com is podfading, we have moved the last of our scripts and feeds off that domain.

If you notice any quirkiness with anything, reload your page. If things still don’t work, please leave a comment so I can fix the issue :).

Some of you may have noticed the site was undergoing major maintenance tonight. It turns out that traffic to this site was somehow triggering a software firewall, preventing this website’s scripts from referencing BacklashShows.com (on the same machine) via HTTP. I have re-written many of the scripts to no longer require this. This also involved replacing the flash player. However, the good news is that now the flash player now randomly started working in IE 7.

This should curb all future occurrences of this website hanging for no apparent reason. Enjoy :D.

I figured it was time for a slightly cleaner design for our website. I have finished tweaking everything now. Enjoy.

If you find anything broken or want something brought back, please leave a comment :).

Well, not often that I add a new category to the website but here it is: “Specific Insanity.” I’ve been wanting to add a “Specific” section since “General Tomfoolery” was added. And keeping with our trend of using abnormal category names, I figured to use “Insanity” to describe posts relating to metaphysics and personal metaphysical experiences. My posts here will contain material not quite personal enough to require posting to a preferred-list post on my MySpace but not quite mundane enough to post to the blog everyone I know can read.

Today I added an “Add to Google” button to both podcasts on the sidebar so you can add our podcast feed to Google Reader (which can be used as a podcatcher nowadays) or to your iGoogle homepage.

Additionally, I am now embedding the show notes right into the posts announcing podcast releases. No need for extra clicks just to get the information you want.

I have also re-enabled wp-cache but with an interval of 10 seconds. We have some PHP scripts on this site that desperately need optimization and wp-cache will serve to curb server load until such things can be done. So if you post a comment and don’t immediately see it on the website, that’s why. The interval of 10 seconds is short enough to seem instant, but long enough to substantially curb how many times these PHP scripts are executing.

If anyone has any recommendations for the website, drop a comment on this post :).

If you experience any issues with this website, drop a comment or email us :).

I recently added inline comments. We are using a tweaked version of Inline AJAX comments. Like always, my inner geek is never satisfied by a stock tool someone makes and thus I start hacking away. I hope this makes comments easier to read on our website and encourages more discussion.

As a result of this, I have changed the settings for the recent comments widget in the sidebar only to display the most recent comment for the 5 posts that have generated comments recently. If anyone wants me to put it back to the way it was, give me a head’s up.

Those who have performed searches using our little search box will notice that it is much faster and sleeker than it was before. Go and search for something and enjoy the eye candy (with useful functionality, of course).

I have updated editor@imbleedingprofusely.com to redirect to all 5 of our current hosts. So if you want to get all of us, just drop an email to that address.

I have added the capability of us to have polls as a result of the discussion on Episode 56. Our current poll: who is/was your favorite PCP host? Your options include the 7 regular hosts we have had on the program.

Thanks to April in Northern California for the new Favicon. Now you will see a little PCP image every time you visit this website or in your bookmarks if you add us to your bookmarks.

Do you think Pagan organizations do enough for the Pagan community (select all that apply)?
