First off, let me start by saying how much I love your podcast! I just recently started listening to it, and I’m at the point of going backwards in time (in terms of episodes).
Recently, I’ve noticed a lot of things I would have loved to comment on, but for obvious reasons cannot. I’m on episode 46 and you are all talking about the witches hat and where it originated from. (I haven’t listen to the rest of the episode yet, so forgive me if you have come across this). I found a website of interest http://www.controverscial.com/The%20Witches%20Hat.htm and by the way, wikipedia really does use the term “pointy hat”. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointy_hat
Now another reference to the pointy hat is also in one of the Charmed episodes that I watched a few years back. When the charmed ones go back in time to save a child that will be their family line, the witches back then mention that the pointy had was used to draw a witches magic down to her (or something along those lines).
Again, sorry if this was all mentioned already in the rest of the podcast, but I wanted to share my limited input.
You guys are wonderful. I enjoy listening to your podcasts and I can’t wait for more!
Dave,
I thank you for plugging our friend’s web site that means a lot to us. Here is the reason why, we lost a vary close and dear friend of our in this war that we are in and Q’s web site was the first one to post any thing about Charles. He did not care if Charles was Wiccan or not, he seen it as another human lost his life to this war. Sents then he has had our utmost respect and our backing, And for him I say thank you for your support.
Now as far as the plug of your guys show… We back all Pagan podcasters and your show is one that I enjoy vary much. And you guy just make me grin from ear to ear with every show. You have a wild show there and that is your guys charm. I love the skits they are great (Fluffy getting shot is my fav.). I can only hope that one day we will have as many shows as you guys do. Please tell the rest of the cast that we love the show and please keep up the funny stuff it is great.
Grats guys!!! keep up the great work. Form our staff to yours
Thanks for another episode of PCP. Be careful, if you keep making these things, we all just might continue to listen to them.
I recently bought a book off Amazon ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1578634091) called The Study of Witchcraft: A Guidebook to Advanced Wicca. I have only just started looking through it, but I liked the idea of topic based study to move past the Witchcraft 101 syndrome.
“Consider this book the Wiccan equivalent to an instruction guide for a tailor-your-own-degree program at a liberal college. Don’t just read through the chapters; read the recommended books as well (while avoiding the bad or silly bits in them – Deborah helpfully points out many of those) , and do the exercises and homework assignments that match your needs and interests. Yes, this means work. Fortunately, you’ll be having so much fun doing it, you won’t mind!” ~Isaac Bonewits from the Foreword
Ave Deus Sol Invictus,
Aedus

these guys are realy funny
Drake also provided us with a link to the experiment Sam mentioned in Episode 51 in her “Science behind the Magic” segment. The website is noosphere.princeton.edu, and yes, they used actual RNGs – not desktop computers. The RNGs use “quantum-indeterminate electronic noise.”
Here is my personal thumb at Congress… Ganulin v. United States “The Court holds that under Sixth Circuit and Supreme Court precedent the establishment of Christmas Day as a legal public holiday does not violate the Establishment Clause because it has a valid secular purpose, it does not have the effect of endorsing religion in general or Christianity in particular, and it does not impermissibly cause excessive entanglement between church and state.” – Federal District Judge Susan J. Dlott (December 6, 1999)
