I thought since this came up in a recent discussion I had on a forum, I might as well share this from when I was still doing ministry stuff. This is based off a triangle that a Catholic group was doing in Clarion, we just slightly modified it to make it clearer as to what it was for.
The outside writing is what we did and the inside writing indicates what those actions would hopefully lead to. Here’s what we did for each of the action portions of the triangle:
Fellowship: Basically fellowship is hanging out with people other than the primary purpose of the group. This would be a church group getting together to do something other than discussing religion or going to church. For example, one thing we would do in the old Pagan group was get together for “Pagan’s Night Out” and go to Wal-Mart, have fun then go to someone’s place to watch a movie.
Education: This was done by sharing personal experiences, reading dogma or book excerpts or something else that would enhance our understanding of the Pagan paths.
Activism: Similar to Education. Education is more “for Pagans” whereas Activism is “about Pagans.” It can be easy to confuse the two as the Education portion (our weekly Pagan Study) could be considered to be part of our plan for Activism. Activism involved ensuring your religious group was portrayed accurately and had a presence at interfaith events (as in, not ignored). Activism typically involved public outreach so Joe Six-Pack would understand Pagans aren’t all sex hounds that eat babies.
Just something from the archives I wanted to share ![]()

1What?! Pagans aren’t all sex hounds that eat babies? Man, I joined the wrong side again.
Thanks for sharing the diagram.
